338. " YOU GAVE THEM A VOICE," MAR. 23, 2013

338.  " YOU GAVE THEM A VOICE," 3/4,
LYRICS/MELODY BY LOLO BOMBOY, MAR. 23, 2013
-
And so you were told
There's no begging here
No kneeling could change
The rules that are clear
If you do not pay
The fees that are due
Then sorry to say
There's no room for you
-
Then they took away
The thing you didn't need
Your own school ID
A treasure you held
They said go on leave
Don't come back until
You've paid all your fees
This drove you to tears
-
How heartless they were
To this poor young girl
They showed no concern
For how she would feel
What mattered to them
Were fees that she owed
So they shut the door
As fast as they could
-
And so here we are
Now mourning for you
Wherever you are
We'll be missing you
You stood for the poor
Whose cries are not heard
You gave them a voice
With courage you dared
-
You gave them a voice
With courage you dared

146. " YOU'RE ONE OF A KIND," JAN 12, 2014

146. " YOU'RE ONE OF A KIND," 3/4, LYRICS/MELODY BY LOLO BOMBOY, JAN. 12, 2014
-
LYRICS:
-
You're one of a kind
You're so beautiful
I wish to see you
Each day more and more
The colors you wear
Bring joy to my heart
They all remind me
We love you a lot
-
I pray that you'd stay
Each day here with me
To lighten my load
Each and every way
May your colors shine
To brighten the day
For all of us here
This much we do pray
-
May your beauty stay
As fresh as can be
Through all of the years
That will pass away
One truth will remain
For each one to say
More beauty than yours
We will never see
-
So let's bless the day
You came on this way
Let's show all our joy
For others to see

145. " I'M SCARED TO TRY," JAN 13, 2014

145. " I'M SCARED TO TRY," 3/4, LYRICS/MELODY BY LOLO BOMBOY, JAN. 13, 2013
-
LYRICS:
-
You hold in your hands
These two butterflies
You take care of them
With joy in your eyes
With all tenderness
You give them your love
They're not scared of you
They seem to be glad
-
Though they are so frail
At least they can fly
They float through the air
Unlike you and I
And we wonder why
We can't fly like them
They have all the fun
And live without sin
-
So why do we say
We have butterflies
Deep down our tummies
Though once in a while
That seems so unfair
For these butterflies
They fly without fear
And they're never shy
-
I wish I could float
Like a butterfly
But I'm scared to try
And I wonder why

149. " YOU CAN TAKE THIS ROAD," JAN. 8, 2014

149. " YOU CAN TAKE THIS ROAD," 3/4, LYRICS/MELODY BY LOLO BOMBOY, JAN. 8, 2014
-
LYRICS:
-
You can take this road
Though it be for life
And then you will see
You'll never get tired
For all that you see
Along either side
Are flowers that bloom
A thrill to your eyes
-
And if your loved one
Is right by your side
Then both of you will
Feel nothing but love
You'll take in the joy
The flowers will give
To freshen your life
As long as you live
-
So walk hand in hand
Through this road of love
And you'll see the light
Streaking from above
It might not be strange
To feel so entranced
The beauty you see
Might tempt you to dance
-
So dance as you wish
As long as you may
The flowers will play
Such sweet melody

148. " MORE THAN WEALTH," JAN 9, 2014

148. " MORE THAN WEALTH," 3/4, LYRICS/MELODY BY LOLO BOMBOY, JAN. 9, 2014
-
LYRICS:
-
Just one rose that's pink
Is what you give now
To someone you love
And we know just how
One who's in your mind
Day in and day out
Someone who has won
The whole of your heart
-
That someone now knows
There's no other love
As sweet as the one
You feel in your heart
And that someone knows
It's your heart you give
And this one pink rose
Is all one can need
-
For this one pink rose
Says all that you feel
That feeling of love
That you know so well
It goes with this rose
That you give today
A love that is true
And always will be
-
You share this pink rose
With all of your love
It's worth more than all
The wealth one can have

147. " A TOKEN OF LOVE," JAN 12, 2014

147. " A TOKEN OF LOVE," 3/4, LYRICS/MELODY BY LOLO BOMBOY, JAN.12, 2014
-
LYRICS:
-
And so now I see
Who's the lucky one
The one by your side
Who's got your heart won
Could my eyes be wrong
Do they lie to me
Will you tell me now
So you can be free
-
The rose HE gave you
Now lies on the ground
It's frozen on ice
A new love you've found
And his heart will bleed
As his fate unfolds
It will start to freeze
Just like this red rose
-
It's time that he knows
There's no chance for him
For his one true love
He can never win
I wish you the joy
He cannot give you
With this one red rose
He must let you go
-
I'll keep this red rose
In my memory
A token of love
That can never be

The love of your life
Has now come to you
With a rose in hand
A rose that is blue
So don't ever doubt
It has come to you
Your perfect romance
With this rose in blue

You'll never be blue
For a single day
This rose that is blue
Will bring joy you way
The road that you take
Will always be clear
With this rose in blue
Love is always near
-
So lift up your heart
For you can be glad
With this rose that's blue
You'll never be sad
For it is the truth
That this rose will prove
The love of your life
Will make your life good

This rose that is blue
