The issue now is should I still go on
After all it had not been that easy
I should never have stopped the momentum
Now it feels like it's a new start for me
-
But I spent the time in writing more songs
Should that not give me some sort of comfort
Here come the perils from stopping so soon
They seem to be worse that I even thought
-
So then I am trying to start again
Hoping to find the same thrill as before
I'm aware of the hard work that remains
Before I can say it's enough, no more
-
And I look at the joy I will then miss
A good sign is that I'm now ending this

I might as well just do another one
Feeling that I still have the urge for it
Though I trust I can still get this one done
I still have to know what are my limits
-
But I have to go down deep for the feel
A little less won't do for the purpose
That is if I want to do  this one well
I hope it does not make me so nervous
-
Again I find it quite interesting
This search for the words that I need to use
I must be able to know their meaning
So that I myself do not get confused
-
It's been an enjoyable ride this time
It could have been more taxing to the mind

I could not sleep thinking of you last night
And wondering when you'll ever come back
Yet there's no doubt they will all see you're right
You have been a victim of such bad luck
-
I can vouch that you are such a good man
You don't deserve what they may have dealt you
They plotted well enough to put you down
It's unjust whatever they have done though
-
I pray you hold your head high through all this
Do all you can to save your dignity
In time you will be blessed with the Lord's grace
So without guilt you can face each new day

I pray I'll be around to see you then
When you face the world a man born again

What do I really need to write a poem
Cause I do not have the talent for it
I instead make use of the poetic form
So I could write what I now call sonnets
-
It is the same when it comes to triolets
Like sonnets they have a certain structure
I just write words into the structure set
That is the way I complete the picture
-
Of course, I need to have the basic tools
Like most, I know how to write sentences
And phrases too and use the rhyming rules
And I write sans most poetic nuances
-
But I do count syllables in each line
They can be ten or eight and that's just fine
