SONNET NO. 160: " I CAN DO ONLY THE BASICS,"

What do I really need to write a poem
Cause I do not have the talent for it
I instead make use of the poetic form
So I could write what I now call sonnets
-
It is the same when it comes to triolets
Like sonnets they have a certain structure
I just write words into the structure set
That is the way I complete the picture
-
Of course, I need to have the basic tools
Like most, I know how to write sentences
And phrases too and use the rhyming rules
And I write sans most poetic nuances
-
But I do count syllables in each line
They can be ten or eight and that's just fine
