i sit here today wishing i could
write,
a poem that to my friends might 
look and sound just about right,
i look outside for any inspiration that
i could possibly see,
i look into my heart to check how i feel
about the world today.
-
i try to see how the leaves are now
swaying,
i just couldn't say they are green like
the grass  our neigbor is mowing,
but there's no breeze out there
that seems to be whispering.
so i guess this is all the poem that
today i will be writing...
-
but all day long the sun has been
hiding,
behind the clouds i'm sure it's now
ready to be setting,
and there is no rain though that
could sing about,
still i'm  so glad it's been a good
day to be staying out...
